Mother Earth & Father Fire
This is where it all began,
on this land in the time when man first knew how to lend a hand.
The time when many use to wine & dine.
And motherhood was planned with her man.
The time when people understood what it meant to have a piece of mind.
\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\
When religion crept in, corruption was soon to follow,
do you think if I knew what was out there,
I would never have left my mama's side.
And all God's children would never had learned to lie.
\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\
I hear that mother earth has a lot of children out there,
and Father fire knows of the danger and to be aware.
If I could I would make love to you tonight,
but times have changed and I just don't know what is right.
\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\
Now on this land there grow lots of vines & sugar cane,
when the cane stops growing we'll be left with nutria sweet,
This land once shared is now fenced in with border lines,
If you come uninvited you'll be lucky to go home alive.
\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\
Now greed is in and disaster is soon to follow.
The trees are going and I can't see through the burning leaves.
I now understand that money really does grow on trees,.
I need those vines to heal my whole body and mind.
\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\
I see that,
mother earth, has a lot of flowers out there,
and Father sunshine knows of the hope and laughter to share.
If I could I would walk in the garden of Eden with you,
but road blocks are up & I see your taking the long way home.

I fear that, Father Almighty has a lot of family pets out there...
